Dharsono Hartono
Dharsono Hartono is the pioneer and leading player in the climate and carbon sector in Indonesia. He is the CEO of Rimba Makmur Utama, an Indonesian company that manages The Katingan Mentaya Project. This project is a pioneering effort in the field of carbon finance, operating a 200,000+ hectare peatland forest REDD+ project in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Through the Katingan Mentaya Project, Dharsono generates an average of 7.5 million triple gold certified carbon credits annually, or equivalent to removing 2,000,000 cars from the road each year.
He is also the Chairman of the Net Zero Hub by KADIN (Indonesia's Chamber of Commerce), drafting the roadmap for the decarbonization of Indonesia. He previously held positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers and JP Morgan in New York with a Master of Engineering degree from Cornell University.
